2024 Awards
Please join us as we celebrate the 2024 DSA Awards and Recognitions. Award nominees will be recognized and the winners announced during the event. The reception will be held on Tuesday, May 14th from 2:00-4:30pm in the LSC Ballrooms CD.
History
In 2005-2006, the Division of Student Affairs established four different awards. The purpose was to recognize the contributions of individuals and teams across the Division for their efforts and accomplishments in making a positive difference in their work environments, service to students, and commitment to diversity. The 2017-2018 selection committee added the Rising Star Award in recognition of outstanding contributions of employees with 5 or less years of service to CSU. The 2022-2023 selection committee added the Student Success Award in recognition of outstanding contributions of a person or team who has positively impacted student success.
Award Nominations
The award selection committee will send a call for nominations to all Division of Student Affairs employees in early spring. Administrative professional and state-classified employees who are working at least 30 hours a week are eligible for the awards. The award recipients will be announced at the Division of Student Affairs Staff Appreciation and Awards Reception (typically held in late May).
Each of the individual awards requires a separate nomination. Teams may nominate themselves for the Bridges Award, or be nominated by someone outside the group. The nomination should be for actions, work, initiatives, etc. that occurred this academic year. Nomination criteria are available online under each award’s page.
