Student Affairs has a number of division-wide committees and working groups.
With representation from across the Division of Student Affairs, as well as critical campus partners, the Assessment Steering Committee provides leadership for assessment practices in the division, serves as a knowledge center, engagement hub, and support group for both committee members and all staff across Student Affairs in creating and sustaining a culture of evidence. Membership includes full-time staff with assessment as their primary responsibility, those with an interest in assessment, a liaison to Institutional Research, Planning, and Effectiveness, and student representatives from the Associated Students of Colorado State University and the Student Affairs in Higher Education graduate program.
The committee is a collaborative space for communicators throughout DSA to share resources, brainstorm division-wide communications initiatives, and strategize on university campaigns and brand initiatives. The committee advises the Vice President of Student Affairs through VP Council.
The DEIJ Action Plan working group is made up of members of VP Council who are leading efforts to create the council’s DEIJ Action Plan. The working group is responsible for engaging all members of VP Council in development of the action plan.
The committee charge is to conduct a salary equity analysis for DSA administrative professional staff with consideration of gender and race, consult with internal and external experts (including Human Resource Services, Faculty Equity Review Committee, etc.) in developing a reliable and transparent methodology, and make recommendations for a path forward, including sharing the committee’s findings and implementation steps. The committee also has an evolving goal to serve as a consultant/review committee to make suggestions related to salary postings, increases, adjustments, etc. for the VPSA, VP Council and unit directors/managers.

The Sustainability Working Group advises VP Council and leads Division strategic planning efforts related to sustainability from an environmental, social, and economic lens. The working group also provides a collaborative space that incorporates and centers DEIJ for employees and students within the Division to share sustainability resources, brainstorm solutions, and propose new initiatives.
The Division of Student Affairs Technology Committee advises the Vice President for Student Affairs, through the VP Council, regarding technology compliance matters, standards, service improvements, and technology priorities. The Technology Committee works collaboratively to assess technology needs, review current implementation practices, leverage resources where possible, and develop technology initiatives for the Division.
