Vice President for Student Affairs Council of Student Leaders

The VPSA Council of Student Leaders serves as a formal avenue for the Vice President for Student Affairs to share campus updates, solicit feedback, and create a direct line of communication with University leadership for student questions or concerns. The Council of Student Leaders is also asked to engage in additional involvement and communication opportunities for student feedback and input outside of monthly meetings.

Council Structure

The Council meets monthly for dinner and discussion throughout the academic year with the Vice President for Student Affairs and selected Division of Student Affairs staff to discuss topics related to university programs and services, the impact of current events on the student experience, and ways to improve student programs and services on campus.  Council members are selected from a variety of campus-affiliated organizations to represent the diversity and significance of student groups at Colorado State University. Membership on the Council of Student Leaders change annually, selected by the organizations in consultation with the Vice President for Student Affairs.  This is an unpaid student involvement opportunity; however, each meeting will occur over a mealtime and last approximately 90 minutes. 

Meetings are on the third Thursday of each month from 6:00 p.m. – 7:30 p.m. (the meal will be from 6-6:30 p.m. and the meeting will be 6:30 – 7:30 p.m.). Agendas will be set by the Vice President for Student Affairs with opportunity for Council of Student Leaders to contribute discussion topics and requests for information.
